Anxiety

Anxiety is a very normal emotion that we all experience. Anxiety can be related to events, like what we are going through at this time with the Coronavirus, but having to go to the doctor can also trigger anxiety, Patients often experience anxiety when they get their diagnosis or waiting to receive a diagnosis, understandably. Holidays can and do cause anxiety, public speaking, this is a big one for me, can anyone relate? These are all considered temporary anxieties. Serotonin is a natural chemical in our brain and our bodies. its roll is to regulate our mood, memory, sleep and digestion. Just by doing a little research you will find that low serotonin levels are believed to be somewhat responsible for the current epidemic of depression and anxiety. While you can take prescription meds, some people have found that they are able to manage their anxiety with CBD.  Most of the studies that have been done, are on animals, rats to, be specific. CBD has proven to reduce their stress. Also there have been study subjects they were observed having lower signs of anxiety. CBD can be an awesome way to take the edge off the high levels of anxiety that is going on now. However, it’s also a good idea to talk with your health provider about using CBD to help with your anxiety. For temporary anxieties

There are other forms of anxiety that are way more complex and can stop a person in their tracks, leaving them feeling helpless, alone, and fearful. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, there is an estimated 19.1% of US adults aged 18 and older have an anxiety disorder.

CBD with its natural calming effect makes it a great natural alternative treatment.

WHAT METHOD WILL WORK BEST?

That is completely a personal choice depending on the situation. There are different methods and sometimes it is best to use multiple methods to keep control over the symptoms of anxiety. You may need to experiment with a few to see which works best for you. For quick relief CBD can be inhaled by vape, the onset of action for this method is 1- 5 minutes and could last 1-2 hours, Please, only buy vape cartridges from a reputable source.  Or you may want to use CBD oil/tincture daily to help keep anxiety at bay, using it sublingually. This method could take up to an hour to feel the effect however that effect could last 3 or more hours.

Dosing❔

This is something that we all must figure out for ourselves as well, because we are all different and there are also a few factors to consider age, weight, sometimes even sex. So we always say ” start low and go slow” Also something to keep in mind is that CBD can have a bidirectional effect, meaning that a small dose may have a stimulating effect and might even worsen anxiety and larger dosages may be more relaxing or calming, but again everyone is different.

If your taking pharmaceutical’s for anxiety, it’s always a good idea to check with your health care provider before starting CBD.
